Orsolya Domaniczky Named Director of Common Sense Society–Hungary

Common Sense Society alumna and longtime member named director of CSS’ national branch in Hungary. CSS’ mission is to promote liberty, prosperity, and beauty in the context of our shared civilization.

Budapest, Hungary—Common Sense Society (CSS) is pleased to announce Mrs. Orsolya Domaniczky as director of Common Sense Society Hungary. Mrs. Domaniczky is a political scientist with expertise in the fields of biodiversity and sustainability and is co-owner of a boutique consulting firm. She previously worked as a policy officer for CEEweb for Biodiversity, a network of non-governmental organizations that promote biodiversity in Central and Eastern Europe. As a Pannonius Fellow with CSS, Mrs. Domaniczky studied under Sir Roger Scruton and published on ecology, environmental stewardship, and political philosophy. She received an M.S. in environmental science and policy from Central European University and a B.A. in political science and international relations from Corvinus University of Budapest. She also studied philosophy at Eötvös Loránd University.

“Common Sense Society has the unique ability to generate vigorous and informed debates about pressing issues of our civilization while at the same time creating a welcoming and elevating atmosphere where friendly disagreements are possible,” Mrs. Domaniczky said. “As a longtime member and alumna of CSS, I have cherished these occasions of reasoned discussions and the many friendships that they made possible. As the director of Common Sense Society in Hungary, I’m excited to help create unique opportunities where members can delve into lively discussions about what makes our societies free, flourishing, and full of enduring meaning.”

Mrs. Domaniczky will oversee the events and other resources offered by CSS Hungary as they explore the enduring ideas that have transformed the course of human history for the better.
